Censorship

Question: Is there ever a need for censorship?

Theme: Susan Juby doesn't think that childrens books should be sensored, she's being sarcastic throughout the entire article.

Argument:

In my opinion, there is a great need for censorship within society, who knows what could be exposed to whom. Especially to young children, who can access magazines, Internet and other sources of technology so easily. Today's generation is a very technology oriented so its no surprised that young teens, adults and even young kids can be exposed to the wrong sources of information. And yet not only within technology are people, kids included, being exposed to unnessicary information. Susan Juby, an author of childrens books, as well as a mother has brought attention to the fact that kids books today include "inappropriate language and provacative situations as well as the promotion of alternative lifestyles"(Susan Juby). Not only that but, nine times out of ten do you ever see anything the least bit happy on the News? No, its always information about murders, rapes, and kids getting abducted. How happy is that!?

The idea of censorship can be useful and yet dangerous, if you hide information from the world for too long, you can have a rebellion on your shoulders, yet if you give them the raw and potent honest truth, it can come back and bite you in the arse. Yet at the same time, it can be turned around to show irony and humor. Just like Susan Juby.
